Let us introduce you this beautiful Jaguar XJ Series 2 Double Six 5.3, delivered to the first and Dutch owner on July 28, 1978 by dealer Wondergem & Melse from Serooskerke. The car was bought by the first owner when he retired, just to enjoy it. He did that for 22 years and 65.000 km., with nice tours in the southern part of the Netherlands and to explore restaurants in the area. The car has never been to other countries. In the year 2000 the car came into the hands of a good acquaintance of the first owner and went to a town called Kamperland. This enthusiast had always said to the owner “if you are ever going to sell it, think of me” And so it happened. He owned the Jaguar until 2012 and as an experienced hobbyist and Jaguar connoisseur also enjoyed taking care of the maintenance himself.
Today it is still a beautiful car with very low mileage, only 71.372 km! Coming from a large Jaguar collection, the third owner is willing to sell some of his masterpieces. Lucky for the next owner, because this XJ, like the other cars from the same collection, has been very well maintained. All invoices are present and provide a wonderful overview of what has been done to get and maintain the car in this beautiful condition. Due to age and some imperfections, the paint was professionally renewed in 2012.
