Fully restored Austin Healey 3000 MkII two-seater (BN7) with the rare and essential centre change gearbox. The ultimate Healey purist holy grail find in perfect condition, ready for either the collector or enthusiastic driver who wishes to enjoy what is to many the finest driving and best-looking Healey, the very same to be homologated by Healey for competition use.
Externally this gorgeous Healey is newly finished in Healey Blue Metallic with Ivory Duotone, Chrome 72-spoke wire wheels and wet weather gear is provided by a Navy Everflex hood and aluminium sidescreens, all in perfect condition. Body fit is wonderful and as per factory owing to all original panelling professionally restored, original chrome retained and refinished and a very good level of attention to detail throughout. Prior to restoration this Healey was in good original condition meaning the car has never declined into a state where panels and structure have become non-salvageable. Restoration was comprehensive and body off, with the tub stone-chipped for further protection.
Inside this two-seat MkII shows very nicely thanks to all new upholstery in Navy including Navy seating with Ivory White piping neatly complementing the Duotone paint scheme. Carpet is Navy with Navy bound edges. Instrumentation is all original Smiths in restored condition.
Specification of this Healey remains exactly as the when the car was dispatched from Austin’s Abingdon factory on 5th January 1962 with the engine rebuilt to original specification and retaining the coveted triple carburettor setup. The car was originally specified with overdrive, wire wheels, a heater, an adjustable steering column and laminated windscreen all of which remain correct today.
In conclusion this Austin Healey 3000 MkII BN7 is wonderful newly restored car completed in 2021 with only delivery mileage ready for a new Healey fan to use, enjoy and show with pride immediately.
