This galvanised chassis model Lotus Esprit S3 was registered in October 1986 and has six registered keepers showing since then. Its odometer shows (1)17,063 miles and its last MoT expired in December 2022 after being tested the year before at an indicated (1)16,983 miles. From April 2027, it should be tax- and MoT-exempt. The engine was removed in 2022 and the following work carried out; two new rocker covers, valve clearances done, HD upgraded Lotus cambelt, 3 x HD pulleys, HD tensioners and upgraded water pump. Every seal was replaced. There's also been a full HD clutch conversion and crank seals and the carburettors fully refurbished with Lotus rebuild kits plus a handcrafted HD stainless steel heavy gauge exhaust system, new front brake calipers, discs and pads. The rear calipers have been rebuilt and its discs and pads done. The alternator has been reconditioned, there's a new steering rack, aluminium cooling pipes and servo pipe, The vendor tells us that the radiator remains original however. Since all this work, the car has covered less than 100 miles. It was fully-stripped and repainted around three years ago, Waxoyling was carried out two years ago. The vendor has owned it for over 12 years and the car is running and driving.
Paperwork includes the V5C, parts catalogue, technical information, a large stack of invoices, MoT certificates, brochures, old tax discs, and book pack with combined owner's handbook and service book, the latter stamped up to (1)13,020 miles in June 2010. The Esprit also comes with a spare set of keys.
